3 Simple Looks to Dress and Feel like a Boss Lady

Business casual used to be black blazers and pencil skirts or boot-cut trousers. Boring. Now, it’s so much more. Prints, patterns, layers, different materials, bold colors. Business casual has evolved and it’s important you do too.

I remember when I first started dressing for business meetings, work, interviews. I used to only wear black pumps, and black blazers or ballerina flats. How is that memorable? Don’t wear what everyone else in the room is wearing. Be unique. Be you.

Fashion in the workplace can be fun and bright so wear what makes you happy and confident above all else. I still believe in dressing appropriately depending on the situation. I probably wouldn’t dress like I am going to a Vegas nightclub at a corporate conference, but the point is to play with patterns and colors. Don’t conform to your workplace.

I have put together some of my favorite comfortable and business chic outfits that can elevate your look from boring business casual to classy, cool, and hip business boss lady.

Pop of Color & Prints

Always add in some color to your outfit! Here, I am wearing some bright blue cropped trousers with vibrant and glossy oxfords for that elegant feel. I still get to wear that signature black blazer  with a printed and lacy shirt underneath but I changeed up and gave it that extra oomph with some colorful trousers. 

Go Glam in all Black

Wear some gold or silver accents with all black outfits. It's clean, classic, but with a hint of elegance that is necessary in an office or business space. 

Pointy Boots or Heels & Structured Bag

These boots are my FAVORITE. They're sharp, comfortable, and leave an impression because they're effortlessly stylish. Always have a pair of boots or heels that make a statement. A structured basic bag is an absolute must-have to complete any boss lady outfit too. A colorful bag or boots work well too.
